Florence Amateur Radio Club supports three repeaters in the Florence SC area. The Club Callsign, W4ULH, is authorized by the Federal Communications Commission.

W4ULH 146.850 (PL 123.0 Hz) is located north of Florence, KB4RRC (formerly W4GEY) 146.970 (PL 167.9 Hz) is in downtown Florence and the W4ULH 444.000 (PL 123.0 Hz) repeater is south of downtown Florence.

What is Ham Radio?

Ham Radio is the Amateur Radio Service as defined in part 97 of the FCC codes. Per Part 97.3.4 it is: “A radio communication service for the purpose of self-training, intercommunication and technical investigations carried out by amateurs, that is, duly authorized persons interested in radio technique solely with a personal aim and without pecuniary interest.”
