FARC Fox Hunt 2 – May 22, 2021

Florence Amateur Radio Cub held a Radio Transmitter Foxhunt on 5/22/2021.
Congratulations to Bryan Foxworth KM4NYV who as a single resource came the closest in the shortest amount of time.

UPDATE: The Fox will be 3 watts on a 5/8 over 5/8 antenna on 144.450.

Preferably come early (8:30 AM).
FARC Fox Hunt 2 scheduled on May 22, 2021.
We will be having our 2nd / intermediate foxhunt on May 22nd at 9AM.
The rally point is Bojangles on Celebration for breakfast and about 9AM the foxhunt will begin.
We have a couple of locations secured that would be a good rural location.
As we talked about at the meeting its nice to have the nice antennas but the quick and a quick and dirty way to direction find was discussed by Lloyd Mitchell (KO4L) using a handheld and body shielding..
The frequency for the hidden transmitter FOX will be on 144.450 Mhz and it will NOT be located in the city limits of Florence.…
