The Foxhunt, March 20, 2021, was deemed as a learning experience and fun for the ones who participated .

As the FOX was setup at a friends on Garner Rd., next road south of Alligator near I-95. The group worked together instead of separating today to get practice and it was ended up being a fun training event.   The group got within 500ft so the fox decided to pop on out as, they were successful in getting extremely close.

Since it was a first time, we adjust power from 70 when the guys decided to go to Kmart Parking Lot to Start to 1/2 watt when they were within a mile.  They found the signal (pretty well)  within 90 minutes time and the fox came to them when they were 500ft away.

We started talking with the search party on 146.850 repeater and switched to the fox channel as they were within a mile. They found out attenuation is truly needed to home in on a strong signal.

WE DECIDED AT THE GROUPS REQUEST TO CONDUCT AN INTERMEDIATE FOXHUNT ON MAY 22ND!
