Motorola GTR8000 Repeater – SC Forestry Commission

The SC Forestry Commission is in the process of replacing their VHF Communications Infrastructure with Motorola GTR8000 Repeaters.

7 of 9 are installed and working well within the Pee Dee Region.

I myself have been spending a lot of times researching and getting up to speed on these new devices in the past week.

These repeaters are capable of the P25 digital technology the agency will embrace in the future.

The other regions will be upgraded in the near future.

They will be replacing our older MTR2000/3000 Series repeaters.
