Field Day 2020 is going to be different from what we are accustomed to, which provides amateurs with a wonderful opportunity to be innovative. In the spirit of being innovative, the SC Section Leadership will be doing something new this year. Since our current situation makes in-person Field Day visits impractical, the SC Section will host two one-hour livestream events, at 4:00 pm and 11:00 pm on Saturday 27 June 2020. We would love to have you or someone from your club join us for a few minutes to talk about Field Day.
If you or someone in your club is interested in joining us, please reply to my Technical Coordinator, Brad Humphries, AE4VJ, at ae4vj@comporium.net. He will be setting the schedule and he will send the participant an invitation with a link to the livestreaming software. We plan to invite club representatives in in groups of four for approximately 15 minutes. Of course, no plan ever survives its first brush with reality, so we’ll just have to see what happens … J
